KGBV Kasmar was established in Feb 2007 and it is managed by the department of education. It is in Rural area of Kasmar block of Bokaro district of Jharkhand. KGBV Kasmar is a residential school. The School consists grades from 6-12. It has Science Stream in Class 11th and 12th All the KGBV Girls of Bokaro District has Successfully Prepare their studies here in Inter. From this year CBSE Pattern studies are going to start in the school from June. This school is approachable by all weather road. In this School academic session start in April. But as per the instructions of the department, this year session is going to start from the months of June.
The school has Goverment building it has got 9 class rooms for instructional purpose. All the classrooms are in Good condition The school has a separate room for warden/Teacher. The school has pucca boundary wall. The School have electric connection. The source of Drinking Water in the school is Deep boring and water filter facilities .School has 24 Toilets and it is functional. The school has no play ground .The School has Library and has 1500 books in its library. The school has 32 computer aided leraning lab. We have smart class rooms. Our school has a Gym and according to routine students use it time to time.
This school is an example for all the students in Bokaro.In this school, district administrative officers like DEO, DSE, SDEO time to time They are Visiting in our school and Monitor our school.
Harsh Johar program started in this school on 22 November. Initially, it was a challenge to make all the teachers in the school understand the importance of the program. But the HM of this School Supported a lot. And giving many example to the teachers, the importance of SEL was counted. The orientation on Harsh Johar Curriculum is completed in the month of September ‘2022. The team in School is Therefore piloting the HJ Curruculum and Supporting the teacher to understand the session and roll out the session with the students to build their socio-emotinal skills.
The teacher ownweship and overall understanding on SEL have improved and therefore they do take session and lead the session on SEL with the children. Program associates from Sampoorna ensure the skills being developed by Providing handholding Support to the teachers in prepairing session plans and reflect on the learing.
Apart from this, Monthly meeting with the teachers, HM is organized on regular basis to discuss and review on the project Sampoorna. 2 Monthly catch up with Bal sansad has been conducted, they also take lead in morning assembly and support during activities and SEL session. 2 PTM & SMC meeting are held on regular basis and the parents are also aware of the Project & session. The parents are also reached thourgh IVRS and are made aware on regular basis. Now all the children and teachres at the school fully enjoy the activities of Harsh Johar.
